Delivering exceptional customer service is certainly not the standard these days. It’s common to hear the complaints of customers regarding the poor service they receive. While negative feedback can spread fast throughout a small community, such as Bonita Springs, positive comments can also do the same. In other words, we can all make a positive difference in our town by reporting the times we do receive noteworthy customer service.Publishing positive customer accounts not only showcases a well deserved business, it shows other businesses that quality service is important and that it is receiving public attention. It positively reinforces exceptional service in the community and gives Bonita-based businesses an opportunity to shine.
One local business that deserves mentioning is the Bob Evans restaurant located just west of I-75 on Bonita Beach Road. One employee in particular, Jeff Hoenie, stands out for his professional and courteous service to his customers. Jeff waits tables at the restaurant and is nominated because he is “polite and very pleasant” in serving his customers. Moreover, it was noted that “Jeff’s warm and friendly demeanor make coming to Bob Evans an enjoyable experience because personal service is a regular occurrence.” Being courteous, respectful and professional in servicing customers keeps them coming back because they feel appreciated. With the amount of restaurants out there to choose from, it is essential to keep the customers coming back.
It’s important to note that a specialty business, like a restaurant, sells only one type of product: food. Yet, it isn’t always the food that makes a business stand out from one’s competition. There are many dining establishments in the area that are competitive in offering great-tasting food. Finding restaurants that are competitive in their “over the top” service is harder to find. This is beneficial for all businesses because it offers another way to differentiate yourself from the competition, no matter what type of product you sell.
Properly training your employees in providing exceptional service is key to customer satisfaction. Helping your staff to effectively deal with stressful and frustrating situations can assist them in accurately dealing with customer requests or complaints. By giving the necessary attention to employees through training, guidance and support, the customers will benefit from the pleasurable experience and you will benefit from the repeat business.
